O God, stamp eternity on my eyeballs…

Ruach HaKodesh

In John 14, Jesus was speaking to His disciples about the Holy Spirit. He says this:

“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot recieve, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.”

The Spirit of Truth is highlighted for one reason alone; When the Holy Spirit comes, He comes as Truth or else it is not the Spirit of God, but rather a false spirit.
He bears witness of Christ and Christ Jesus is the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE… and Christ bears witness of the FATHER. How remarkable, how unutterable and how profound. If we are operating in some flimsy, whimsical spirit we have not the Spirit of God. The Spirit of Truth comes in all power and weight, for it is the SPIRIT of GOD, Himself! We, then, receive the Love of the TRUTH through His Holy Spirit and accept exhortation, discipline and encouragement.
This HOLY Spirit is not a ‘come and get you some’ kind of spirit, nor is it bent on fulfilling the will of man or his commands.
The Holy Spirit, the Ruach HaKodesh, does not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak and He discloses what is to come. (John 16:13 – NASB)
We must test, especially in this day of severe delusion, what spirit we are operating in.
How do we do this?
Ask yourself, “Do I want to make much of Christ Jesus? Do I desire that by life or by death, whatever may come, that Christ have the preeminence and Glory?”
If we have not recieved the Spirit of Truth, we have not recieved the Holy Spirit of God. In fact, is not the Spirit of God His essence, His life, His power? Do you think the Creator of Heaven and Earth will entrust Himself to anyone that is careless, irresponsible and irreverant?
The Fear of the Lord is the Beginning of Wisdom! It is wise to fear, with Holiness and Awe, this living God!
